About US

Our Story

When The Shift Ends CIC was created
from a simple but deeply felt
understanding: the people who
support others through grief, crisis and
loss often have very few spaces where
they themselves can pause and be
supported.

Frontline and end-of-life professionals
regularly witness trauma, death and
the heartbreak of families navigating
loss. While they provide extraordinary
care and compassion to others, the
emotional impact of this work can
quietly accumulate over time.

When The Shift Ends CIC was founded
to create gentle, restorative spaces
where those professionals can
decompress, reflect and reconnect
with themselves after their shifts.

Through holistic therapies, therapeutic
sound baths, reflective support
sessions and nature-based wellbeing
practices, we provide calm
environments where frontline workers
can process the emotional weight of
their roles in a supportive and
compassionate setting.

Our work is grounded in a simple
belief:

Those who hold others through life’s
most difficult moments also deserve
spaces where they themselves are
held with care.

As our work grows, our vision is to
develop the When The Shift Ends
wellbeing approach into a recognised
resource within frontline and end-of-
life training — helping to embed grief-
informed support into the cultures
that care for others.

Edafe

Edafe founded When The Shift Ends CIC with a
simple but powerful intention: to create
supportive spaces for the people who spend
their working lives supporting others through
grief, crisis and loss.

Recognising that frontline and end-of-life professionals often
carry the emotional weight of their work long after their shift
ends through her work as a holistic therapist since 2018, Edafe
developed a wellbeing initiative that offers gentle, restorative
experiences designed to help them pause, process and reconnect
with themselves.

Through holistic therapies like reflexology, breath work and
mindfulness , therapeutic sound baths, reflective support
sessions and nature-based wellbeing practices, Edafe’s work
focuses on creating calm environments where those who hold
others through life’s most difficult moments can themselves be
held with compassion and care.

Juliet

Juliet has spent much of her working life supporting people through difficult, uncertain, and often deeply emotional moments. Whether responding to calls for help, supporting individuals in crisis, working within NHS Talking Therapies, she is drawn to roles centred on care, compassion, and human connection.

Juliet knows the value of creating spaces where people feel heard, appreciated, and supported without judgment. She believes that sometimes the gift we can give someone is our presence, our kindness, and the chance to simply exist as they are.

She brings a calm, caring presence and a genuine commitment to community wellbeing. She is passionate about helping people find moments of rest, connection, and hope, especially during times when life feels overwhelming. Her warmth, empathy, and dedication help ensure that everyone who engages with WTSE feels welcomed, respected, and cared for.
